About VIN Key Finder

VIN Key Finder helps people work out which replacement car key or fob fits their vehicle, starting from the VIN.

Who runs it

The site is run by the team behind UrbanX (Urban Extreme LLC, Jacksonville, Florida), a US seller of replacement car keys and key fobs. The keys shown in results are UrbanX products and the links go to urbanx.us, where you can buy them.

How the results are made

Your VIN is decoded with the free NHTSA vPIC decoder. The decoded year, make and model are matched to UrbanX's vehicle-fitment data, which pairs each listed key with the vehicles it fits using the FCC ID and part number. We only show in-stock keys that pass that match.

What we cannot promise

A VIN does not identify your key code, and the same model can use more than one fob. Always check the FCC ID and part number on your current key. New keys normally need cutting and programming by a locksmith or dealer. Guides on this site are general information, not professional advice.
